Basement

As the homeowners began making small updates to their main floor, they realized their next priority was finishing the basement to add much-needed living space.
During the design phase, we worked through their wish list, which included a ¾ bathroom, a home office that could also serve as a guest bedroom, a family room with a fireplace, and an adjacent wet bar. We were able to incorporate all these elements into a cohesive and functional layout. Stained hickory cabinetry was used throughout the basement to add warmth and maintain consistency across the spaces. Cambria quartz countertops were selected for both the bathroom vanity and family room wet bar, adding durability and a refined finish.
The fireplace serves as the focal point of the family room, featuring an asymmetrical design with a custom oak bench and built-in cabinetry, all set against black painted shiplap. This shiplap detail continues into the wet bar backsplash to visually connect the spaces. Carpet was installed in the office for comfort, while luxury vinyl plank flooring runs throughout the remaining areas for durability and continuity.
