Tired of the dated finishes and inefficient layout, the homeowners came to us looking for a kitchen that functioned as well as it looked. Although the room offered plenty of square footage, the original cabinet layout limited the kitchen’s flow, storage, and overall usability.

By reconfiguring the cabinetry and appliances and making better use of the existing footprint, we created a more functional floor plan with significantly more storage. The new center island serves as the focal point of the kitchen, improving traffic flow while providing additional workspace and casual seating. Other key improvements include relocating the microwave to allow for a vented range hood above the gas cooktop, adding generous pantry storage, and incorporating a bank of buffet cabinets for extra storage and serving space.

The finishes complement the updated layout with stained birch cabinetry around the perimeter and a dark blue painted island that adds contrast and character. Quartz countertops extend into a full-height backsplash for a clean, modern look, while luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the kitchen and front entry ties the spaces together with a consistent, durable finish.
