This Woodbury homeowner wanted to update their primary bathroom without changing the layout. Their goals included a larger shower, new flooring and fixtures, and replacing the framed-in linen closet with new vanity and linen cabinets.
We began by removing the linen closet walls and the bump-out wall that had been built to fit the old shower surround. This allowed us to expand the shower area. The new shower features homeowner-provided white subway tile, installed vertically, with three built-in niches for storage. A new custom semi-frameless sliding door with matte black hardware replaced the original door, making the shower feel more open and brighter.
The new vanity and linen cabinet are painted Bertch cabinets in a Grove satin finish. The vanity top is Aspen White polished quartz with subtle veining. Matte black fixtures and warm brass Oskar pulls by Atlas Hardware complete the cabinetry.
Finally, the original brown tile floor was replaced with a light wood-looking luxury vinyl plank (LVP), creating a lighter and softer looking floor. If you’re thinking about updating your own bathroom, we can help you make the most of your existing layout too!
